Last week 10 graduate students of Virginia Tech’s bikesharing studio class traveled to Arlington County’s mobility lab to present their findings to Capital Bikeshare administrators from DC, Arlington, Alexandria, Montgomery County, and other interested members of the audience. The first part of the presentation highlighted economic impacts of CaBi. The second part of the study focused on balancing in bikeshare systems–to reduce the problem of full or empty bikeshare stations. After the presentation students and the audience discussed the results for over an hour. The final report will follow within the next two weeks.
