Class Field Trip to 11th Street Bridge in Washington, DC

Last week my transport systems planning class (UAP 5644) joined my colleague Elizabeth Morton’s studio class on a field trip to the 11th street bridge in Washington, DC. During the last years the two old bridge spans of the 11th street bridge have been replaced. There are plans to build a bridge park on the downstream span of the old 11th street bridge. My transport systems planning class will help analyze current bicycle infrastructure supply and travel behavior of the communities on either side of the bridge. Below are a couple of photos taken during the field trip and lectures/talks.
